Desenho Universal para a Aprendizagem no ensino superior: mapeamento de iniciativas de consciencialização

Resumo

Em resposta à crescente diversidade de estudantes no Ensino Superior, tem havido alguns avanços face ao fomento de ambientes onde todos podem aprender. Uma das abordagens emergentes é o Desenho Universal para a Aprendizagem - uma estrutura que melhora e maximiza o processo de ensino e aprendizagem pela concepção de experiências de aprendizagem acessíveis, inclusivas e flexíveis, independentemente dos atributos individuais dos estudantes. Proveniente do Desenho Universal e baseada em evidências de investigações em neurociências e ciências da aprendizagem, esta abordagem requer um conjunto de iniciativas concertadas de consciencialização para a sua compreensão e implementação. O presente artigo visa perceber como a consciencialização do Desenho Universal para a Aprendizagem, dirigida ao corpo docente, está a ser promovida por Instituições de Ensino Superior. Este estudo, assente na natureza qualitativa, por meio da pesquisa bibliográfica e e-research, procede ao mapeamento de iniciativas de consciencialização do Desenho Universal para a Aprendizagem no Ensino Superior. Foram localizadas 48 Instituições de Ensino Superior, em oito países, com iniciativas de consciencialização desta abordagem. Através da análise de conteúdo, as iniciativas identificadas consistiram em informações, publicações, recursos, exemplos, eventos, formação, comunidade de prática e outras iniciativas. Os dados gerados indicam que a disponibilização de informações e de recursos online foram as iniciativas de consciencialização identificadas com maior incidência. Porventura, o conhecimento das iniciativas identificadas pode contribuir para a sua transferibilidade noutras Instituições de Ensino Superior, bem como aumentar e facilitar a adoção do Desenho Universal para a Aprendizagem no Ensino Superior.
